I am really sorry to hear that. First of all, I recommend that you stop using the cleanser immediately. This will give your face time to reduce the swelling and redness.
As for the dark circles, they will always go away, you just have to give it time and use natural ingredients (like cosmetic turmeric and honey/palm oil) on it thrice weekly until you start noticing them fading away.
You can also try other natural home remedies that are effective in clearing dark circles; be consistent with it and be patient till you notice results.

When you say ” argan acne oil” do you mean argan oil for acne or is that a product on its own?
If it’s just oil, yes, you can use it after cleansing. Argan oil is great and effective when it comes to getting rid of acne.
But if that is a product on its own, check to see that it doesn’t contain ingredients that would further irritate your skin.
Using good oils that target skin issues after cleansing is quite common and safe, as long as you don’t feel irritated after doing that. And be sure to apply them very lightly or only on problem areas.

There may really be “no effect” if you don’t use a face cream after cleansers in general. However, it is always recommended that you try to use any form of moisturizer (lotions, creams etc) to seal in moisture after cleansing. This helps your skin in many ways than you can imagine.

Okay, you can try this Neutrogena oil-free acne facial cleanser or this RDL cleanser with papaya extract . Any of the two would give you very good results.
It 5days of me using the brown one and it brings out things like rashes on my face…. I don’t know if my face will get use to it over time or i should stop it entirely….. Or i should switch to the pink one

I would have said you try it for 2 more days to complete the recommended 7-days circle to see if it would work. But a product that is itching you or leaving rashes on your face is not advisable. Stop using it and switch to a milder cleanser before it causes more harm to your face.
For someone having rashes as a result of using any product at all, and for 5 days already; I will recommend you stop using it. Also, check if it’s the original one you bought and if it has not expired.
After using brown one can I use glycerin because I want to remove sunburn on my face
Is the sunburn caused by the cleanser? If yes, you might want to stop using the cleanser entirely. But if it’s not caused by it, then using glycerin is fine. Glycerine is excellent for moisture rehydration and when used on sunburns, it will effectively trap moisture in the skin, soothe the burn and help fade it away.

Sorry to hear that it stopped working for you. Have you tried checking if the one you got since then is the original one? Has it expired? Does it look contaminated? Has it been with you for too long? If all your answers are ‘yes’, then you may need to discard that one and get a new one that is still good.
But if your answers are ‘no’, then I will suggest you stop using the cleanser entirely as it may have started reacting with your skin.

Please, have it in mind that this problem is from the manufacturing process. Could be a mistake and it doesn’t mean the product is not original.
It could be that during the packaging or so, few particles mistakenly fell in.

Thanks Rosy! This is quite enlightening. I just started using this cleanser a week ago. The pink one. It is working really well for me. My face is lighter, my pimples are gone just left with the black spots which are fading gradually what I want to know is how long does it take for the cleanser to clear all skin blemishes and to smoothen the face?
P.s: I mixed mine with rose water and added a pinch of miracle powder and I have seen great results from the first day. No itching, no redness whatsoever.

Wow.. I love the method you are using. It is amazing and would definitely take away any chances of reactions by 70%.
For your question, it’s a yes and no answer. For instance, if you want to use it right before going to bed (or going ouy), you can wash your face with a mild soap and rinse it off before using the cleansing when your face is dry. Or if you would take your bath before using it, you can still wash your face in the process.
But if you are using it to remove your makeup, like in the middle of the day when you are not ready to hit the bed, then no need to wash your face first. Just go ahead and use it alone.

Oh, so sorry I missed that. For someone with a normal skin type, you can expect your spots/blemishes to clear off from the second week. It can take longer or it could even go faster, depending on your skin and the severity of the blemishes.
However, the normal thing is that even after a cleanser gives you a smooth face, you are expected to keep using one for the benefits of using a cleanser in your routine.

The cleanser might be peeling your skin for two major reasons: 1) You got the fake one. Or 2) It is harsh for your skin type and your face is already getting affected by the common side effects of using it.
I will recommend that you stop using it and switch to something gentler for your skin.
However, some people have used it and after some days of peeling their skin, it stopped and started working just fine. In their case, it only got rid of the dead skin cells on their skin when they started using it.
If you choose to continue, try to use it only once a day or even once in two days so that it doesn’t strip your skin of essential nutrients.

So i gave this “fake” peau dey lune(pink) a shot again,i used it overnight(just one night) and woke up in shock lol my face was fairer,sunburn had cleared out etc and so i decided not to use it again for now so my face won’t get too white but i noticed my face later had two colors(fading brown&fair)i got confused

Hi. Sorry to hear that your own cleanser gave you two shades.. The thing is, that is a common side effect of the peau de lune cleanser especially the fake one. Some people have used the original one and it still gave them that.
For now I will recommend you don’t use any more of the peau de lune facial cleanser and try something else that is more suitable for your skin. Sorry that you got the fake one.
Please note that the peau de lune cleanser is a fast action cleanser and so by 7 days you should be seeing little results showing up. So if you are yet to see even the slightest change, you really may have gotten the fake one that doesn’t work at all.
You may need to go get the original one for best results.
I got the fake one(brown) but I’ve started using it already. It leaves a white cast after application and it dries out my skin. That’s the only problem I have with it. Should I discontinue?

Well, unless it totally dries your face and leaves it stiff and rough. If you use it for a week plus and it’s not showing any more negative effects, then you could be one of those lucky ones who it doesn’t react on.
I’ll also recommend you look out for the original one when next you are going for another.

The pink one is best for brown-skinned people, the brown one is great for fair-skinned, and the green one is best for dark-skinned people and they are all great for acne and spots.
Make sure you buy the one that is original to ensure that it doesn’t react on your skin or worsen your acne.

Oh, hello. I am really sorry to hear that your face is getting darker from using it.
First, what is your skin complexion? Are you very fair? Chocolate-skinned? Or naturally dark? You need to be sure you are using the particular cleanser they made for your skin tone. Because if you aren’t, it may be the cause of the whole thing.
Also, check to see if you have been exposing yourself too much to the sun after using the cleanser. The face cleanser doesn’t have any form of sun protection. Even some people that used it for some time and stayed long under the sun complained that their face got darker or some areas of the face got darker.
Please after cleaning with peau de lune can I still use a face cream.
Yes please, or a moisturizer.
And then if you want to complete the routine, you can use a toner right the cleanser, and then apply the moisturizer/face cream.

No dear. They are two different things are work differently.
Your body wash is formulated just to handle cleaning your body.
This face cleanser is used with a cotton wool directly on your face; to remove deep-seated dirt even after bathing with your body wash.
And it’s usually not washed off after use.
So adding it to your body wash will not give you the desired results you’re looking for.
Good morning MA. Please I started using peau de lune six days ago. Though I notice it clearing my black spot. But all the hidden small small pimples are now very visible on my face and is scratching me. Am I suppose to continue it or stop it. No reaction yet. The thing is, if you’ve used this cleanser for 14 days maximum and your face is yet to adapt to it, you may need to stop using it.
That means if your face is still turning red, itching you or leaving more pimples/spots each time you use it, then the cleanser is not for your skin type.
I’ll recommend you try something else.

Is not itching my face anymore and my face is not red either but I notice that the small small pimples that show up is is now bringing the whitish stuff up and it getting dry, so it easy to remove. But they didn’t dry once o. I normally notice maybe three like that. MA question is now ,ma should I continue using it. Thanks in advance MA
Since everything is going fine now just the pimples, I think that’s okay.
It’s normal for facial cleansers to dry out your pimples gradually… As long as they are actually drying up and you can easily take them out, that’s fine..
But if it’s giving you more pimples instead of making them easy to remove, you may need to stop using it.
Its hurts on my acne ahen cleaning the face, makes my face reddish although is clearing and drying up my pimples….another question do i apply a face cream on it after cleaning?
If you have used it for more than 2 weeks and it’s still making your face red and hurting your acne, you may need to stop using it entirely.
And yes, you can apply a face cream or moisturizer after cleansing.

Hi Tonia, I want you to have it in mind that not every product is good for everyone.
If you’re using a product and it’s reacting or irritating your skin, then it’s not for your skin.
I’ll recommend you stop using it and switch to something else that won’t give you issues.
Can I mixed it on my lotion or apply on my legs as I got strawberry legs/ blackheads..
I will not recommend that you add that to your lotion as it’s not going to come out well. And no, you can’t use it on your legs as it is formulated to work as a ‘facial cleanser’.
However, I found two leg creams that can help with your blackheads. One is from Advanced Clinical. It’s great for skin spots and is also hydroquinone-free!
This other one is an effective dark spot remover which can also help fade any spots on your body, arms or legs.
There are a lot of creams like these out there but they are the best I can recommend myself.

Ohhh. Sorry it’s making your own face red. I have received same complaint, so no, you are not alone in this 😁.
First off, using this particular cleanser twice a day is quite much. It’s too strong and may strip your skin of necessary oils.
Reduce it to like once a day or once in two days depending on what your other skincare routine is like.
Secondly, if you are sure you have the original one, and it’s only making your face red but not itching or irritating your face; then it could be your skin is trying to adapt to it.
However, if it’s irritating, itching your skin or causing breakouts, you may need to stop it entirely and switch to something else.
Remember, it’s not always everything that work for others that would probably work for you when it comes to skincare 😉
Pls, what face moisturizer, toner, serum do you recommend to use with the peau de lune cleanser. Mine works for me but I’ve noticed it strips my skin of natural oils and I find I have to hydrate if not my skin produces so much oil. I have oily and acne prone skin. I would really appreciate any tips bcos now my face breaking out so badly

To get rid of this can be done in many ways but I’ll only tell you organic ways because your skin needs to heal right now and doesn’t need more products.
Here are 3 organic ways you can get rid of brown patches caused by the peau de lune facial cleanser:
1. You can massage aloe vera juice or natural aloe vera gel directly to the dark spots and leave for like 30 minutes before washing off every morning and evening.
2. Get a small quantity of natural aloe vera gel that will be enough for the spot and add a drop of lemon juice. Mix it together and massage this over the spot or your whole face if you choose. Leave it on for about 10 minutes before washing off.
P.S Don’t use lemon juice alone as it is acidic and can irritate your skin. The aloe vera gel helps to reduce its effects so you have to mix it.
3. Take the aloe vera gel and add some freshly grated cucumber, a drop of lemon juice and 1tsp of sandalwood powder. You can apply this on the spot and let it dry completely before washing off with water.
Aloe vera has shown dramatic results in helping improve dark spots, patches and pigmentation over time so this is your best shot right now.
Try any of the above and you’ll notice a better skin colour on your face after some time.

First, you need to know that even original the cleanser doesn’t work effectively for everyone.
So, if you have the original one and it’s not working, then it’s not for your skin type. I can still recommend a more effective one you can use.
Secondly, you need to know that it may work fast for some people, but for others it need to be used consistently for some time.
So if you have used it for a while and it didn’t work, it may not mean you’ve got the fake one.

True, though I have got a few reviews from people who used the fake ones but never got any problem with it.
